Anatomy Of A Murder, The Shop Around The Corner, The Man Who Shoot Liberty Valance is different from the movies. I agree. He was/is one if the most talented actors in Hollywood. He is in so many great movies and classics.
shareI think that there is a wider contrast between his role in 'Harvey' and those tough characters that he was playing in the dark westerns of the early 1950s. I was watching his fall towards the end of 'Rear Window' the other day which seems to be a foretaste of his later fear in 'Vertigo.'
