shareFinally saw the film over the weekend. Not in the upper tier of films noir, but not bad. The Heston character seemed to call for a more cynical, world-weary type, ala Mitchum or Edmond O'Brien. But Heston doesn't do badly. I really love the supporting types, and the location footage of Las Vegas is priceless.
share___Yes, Las Vegas was nearly brand new, and really Glitter Gulch. A few of the driving scenes were pretty obvious Los Angeles. Vegas just didn't have those intersections then, or even now, but the gambling lights and airport were Vegas.
