See "Battle of Britain", "Spitfire" with Leslie Howard and "The Dam Busters". Spitfire shows R.J. Mitchell frantically trying to develop the Spitfire as the war draws nearer. "Dambusters" is chock full of ingenuity, drama and bravery with the bomhing climax near the end of the movie.

I just looked up Spitfire and I think the film you're referring to is actually The First of the Few.

Anyway, I have seen Battle of Britain, which was a great film. Das Boot is also a good one to see if you want to see the similarily terrifying conditions (possibly more so) in a U-Boat during the war.

If Clint Eastwood and Chuck Norris got into a fight, Clint Eastwood would probably win.

The Film has two titles, "Spitfire" and "The First of the Few".

Das Boot = I thought I was going to drown watching it.

Also, Command Decision with Clark Gable

But not "Memphis Belle". That movie was awful on so many levels. "The War Lover" works for me, although is has a romantic subplot that is simply not well done at all.
