I doubt if switching to a pipe from cigarettes would have changed the way he lived. It might have changed the way he DIED.

The late great much MISSED DUKE most proberly developed cancer because her made films in the state of Nevada during the Atomic bomb tests so smoking ether Cigars cigarettes or a pipe or abstaining all together would not have made a difference!
