But I do like Linda Darnell, which is why I watched this movie. He plays his usual arrogant, self-centered character, and she plays the wife who is slavishly devoted to him. He's an insufferable bore.

I do love seeing the set design of these old movies. His dressing room and closet are particularly inventive.

It looks like you missed the point. The character Harrison plays is supposed to be arrogant and self-centered, so he did his job as an actor very well.

No, I understand he was playing a character. I just never like any of the characters he plays.
