Only new to the board and am interested in getting the lyrics to the main theme song of Red River if they are available.
I know it was written by Dmetri Tiomkin and as far as i know sung by the Moscow Orchestra.
Any help locating the words or even a lead as to site they might be on would be grateful.
The Alamo: The Essential Dimitri Tiomkin Film Music Collection performed by the Prague Philharmonic is the likely place to find it. Dmetri was russian with a thick (and amusing) accent. Moscow might well have performed it.
Vocals? I'm not sure. A search is more likely to find the "Red River Valley", a traditional American ballad:
"and remember the Red River Valley and the love lost for courting so slow."

Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson in Howard Hawk's "Rio Bravo" sing " My Rifle, Pony, and Me" [This excerpt also appeared on "The Sopranos"].
The song also was sung, I believe, during the opening credits of "Red River" with different lyrics.
