a deleted scene?

With the passage of time, the mind plays tricks. Old movies get confused with other old movies. But I seem to recall when I watched this movie about 40 years ago there was a scene where Willie Garzah is on the run, and he rings the bell at a house. Through the curtain we see a very sinister, very tough looking large lady wearing a nurse's uniform come to answer the door. She is a bad one and Willie hopes she will hide him. She has already heard what Willie's been up to and wants no part of him. She is so tough she gets Willie in a headlock and kicks him out. You feel sorry for Willie.

Did some group, nurses perhaps, object to the character and have the scene deleted? Or am I remembering a scene from a different movie? If so, what movie?
