Didn't John Ireland have several parts in this movie?
It has been a while since I have seen it but I seem to remember that he had several parts in this movie. Can anyone help?
shareNo. None of the important actors had multiple parts in the film. If anyone did, they seem to have been extras, and it is not noticeable at all. I have seen the official cast list in a movie encyclopedia called "The Motion Picture Guide", which lists literally everybody in the film, and according to that, there were actors who played multiple parts. But if that's true, I certainly can't tell.
The play on which the film is based, "Joan of Lorraine" by Maxwell Anderson, is different. It's a play-within-a-play, and everyone in it has a multiple role. I haven't read or seen the play, but it's apparently available at online stores.
