Well worth watching.
Ingrid Bergman gives a fine performance in spite of her age and accent. The supporting actors are also excellent. Before making this film Bergman had won a Tony award for playing Joan on Broadway in Maxwell Anderson's "Joan of Lorraine."
In real life the French were losing the war with the English that started in 1337, until Joan appeared on the scene in 1429. After her amazing triumph at Orleans, France proceeded on to final victory in 1453.
"Whatever thing men call great, look for it in Joan of Arc, and there you will find it."
