I liked it

I was surprised at how suspenseful this movie was. I compare it more to the Old Dark House genre rather than Film Noir. Although I hear a lot about Errol Flynn being wooden and flat, I found him to be more along the lines of George Sanders, sort of the quiet and refined gentleman type. As for the surprise (or not) ending, Errol Flynn had to end up being either a good guy or a bad guy. I liked it and would love to see it again.

I liked it, but not because I thought it was a particularly great film.
To me, it was fun, but forgettable. But Stanwyck - WOW - all she had to
do was walk in the room and you were hooked. So beautiful at this point
with the longer hair. And that presence and posture. Fun film.

I also think Flynn gives a very good performance. So often you read that Errol was wooden in this role, I completely disagree. Sure, George Sanders would have been better (or Claude Rains), but both were just better actors than Flynn.

Stanwyck is brilliant, as she always was. A good film!

Stanwyck and Flynn were at the height of their sexual prowess - talk about face, body, posture and pose - can't think of any young actors today who could come close to this pair.

Open to suggestions on who could:

They were both great together. Stanwyck is perfect in this role, and Flynn is very sexy.
