Film stock used in this film

Dose anyone know what this film was shot on?
I loved this films shallow depth of field there are certain location shots that appear as through they were filmed on a sounds stage it adds a surreal look to the production. Anyway I want to start filming a new project and I was wondering how I could active such an effect?

These days you can still shoot in black and white...use red, green and yellow filters to deal with your contrast.....and most important use the DI (digital intermediate) process during your post.....a note..make up people used to use green makeup on actors faces to adjust for certain tones in ....the same way that the art dept or set dressing used green or blue paint on set walls or furniture to go for different levels of contrasts...

Shallow depth of field is a result of using a slow film which requires a large aperture.

Today's films are faster, so you'll have put a neutral density filter over the lens in order to be able to use a larger aperture.
