Claire Trevor is amazing. Cold as ice in high fashion.

I wish they'd kept the original title, Deadlier Than The Male.

Yes, Claire Trevor is just terrific in this movie. Indeed, I could say the same thing about all of her other performances that I have seen.

Her name isn't ever near the top when there's discussion about the greatest "Noir Dames", but it should be! If not the very best (and she just may be), she's in the top 5.

Can't think of anything I didn't love her in, starting with Stagecoach. Great (and thoroughly grunted-down) in Key Largo, sexy and sneaky as all get out in Murder, My Sweet.
