A 'Charlie Brown Christmas' Tree...


That one Christmas tree that the professor has (or somebody else?) reminds me of the one in A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965). Makes me wonder if Charles Schulz got the idea for the tree from this....

I don't know what's a sig. line? Can't think of one! Can you tell me what one is?

Well into the 1980s trees of that type were available at all Christmas tree lots for a reasonable price, usually five to ten dollars. They had an open branch structure so ornaments could hang free within the tree, not just lie on the outer surface like the dense shrub-trees we have now. They were quite lovely. Around 1990 they completely disappeared.
