I first saw this film in the early 80's, and the version I saw was colorized. I taped it, continued to watch it colorized for years. Now, when I watch the black and white version it seems bland.
Does anyone know where I might find an old VHS copy of the colorized version? I don't think it has ever been colorized for DVD. I keep trying ebay, but nothing turns up.

Do you (or anyone else) still have your tv taped Bishop's Wife colorized version? I also watched it on tv once and thought for sure I could purchase it, but to no avail. I'll pay for a tv taped copy, if that is possible. I'm one in the minority who just love the colorized version.
I'll let this slide because you asked not to be chastised and your reason is understandable.

I generally agree but with the caveat that colorization technology has come a long way. I've seen some colorized films that actually looked pretty good. For instance, MOST of these results looks pretty good:
