What did you rate it?

I give it an 8/10 as well..

I've watched this movie numerous times, enjoyed the story and the many fine performances...8/10.

I rated it a 7/10 at first, but the more I have been thinking about this movie for the past 2 days, the more I find the underlying themes and the complexity of the characters fascinating, so I'm changing my rating to 8/10 now. I like movies that have me thinking for days. They don't make them like this anymore.

I can only give it a 6/10, not enough Stanwyck and I just don't care for Van Heflin, he's such a bland mediocre actor, and not exactly good looking, I'm surprised he got as much work as he did.

The movie started out good, but it couldn't keep its head of steam up, maybe if it wasn't for Van I could give it a 7, maybe.
