I always wondered what happened next in the story. I figured after everything calmed down George talked to Uncle Billy and he , at least , remembered talking to Potter in the bank. Maybe George puts two and two together and figures Potter has the money. He talks to his bodyguard-the guy who wheels Potter around-and gets him to talk. Potter is arrested for grand theft and everyone REALLY lived happily ever after.
shareThey probably wake up Dec 26th with everything moved on without any action on Potter. Potter surely dies within 3-5yrs, & George has enough cash to help his business & everyone probably all but demands he & Mary go on a long vacation with the children, probably to Europe or even Asia.
