I bet you don't like Scrooge and "the Christmas Carol" either! Ha Ha (Greatest story in the English language.) If you don't like It's a Wonderful Life, you need a heart transplant. (IF you have a Heart!) John

yeah, Mr-Heisenburger,
I think it is a great movie, too. Perfect for the holidays.
I want to sincerely apologize. ... I was wrong. ... I just had one of those American Moments, you know; where we think we're 100% right, and we created the world. Of course you have the right to your opinion. And I should respect your opinion. I'm afraid my mom would not be very proud of me. I can hear her in my head, "Now John, you let that man think what he wants. He's not hurting anyone." Yes mom. Can you forgive me??? John
shareFeologild, you may prefer an ending in which innocent people suffer or die, but, at least in the 1940s, that wasn't what movies were all about. The movie would have lost its appeal to the moviegoing audience.
shareI agree, it's amazing.
shareI agree with you Mr.Heisenberger. And since you said that you recently stumbled upon this movie, I'm taking a guess that you're one of the young generation. So there is hope! Frankly I think they need to start making more movies like this again. So what if it's sweet and sappy, I still get a lump in my throat when all of the town folk come to George's aid at the end and the sheriff tares up his arrest warrant. This movie was made right after WWII ended and the message fits the times. Unfortunately it usually takes a real cataclysmic event like a world war or something to reset the way human beings are supposed to behave - helping and caring for each other, not selfish, darwinistic materialistic pursuits.
