andy williams, tex cooper , jack lambert and Nevada Smith

I seem to remember Andy Williams and his brothers being listed in the credits for another movie, but it's been too long. Aside from a Sandra Dee movie, I don't remember him actually acting in a movie.

Tex Cooper always to be hovering in the background of numerous westerns and serials. He was the guy who bore a startling resemblance to Bufflao Bill, and THE HARVEY GIRLS must be one of the rare times he had any dialogue. You can hear him during the MARCH OF THE DOGIES number: "Me for the campfire hot on the trail" where he's standing next to Garland.

Jack Lambert was another ubiquitous actor in westerns, gangster movies and film noir. He's still playing his standard nasty bad guy. The surprise comes when he jumps in to Ray Bolger's arms.

Years ago the author of the WHATEVER HAPPENED TO...? books tried to interview Lambert who refused to cooperate. When he died several years ago, I don't recall anybody obituaries on him. No relation to the British actor.

Is it just a coincidence that one of the actresses in the credits has the same name as Alan Ladd's character in THE CARPETBAGGERS and Steve McQueen in the sequel?

Another name I am surprised to find in the credits is John Merton who was one of the most ubiquitous actors in serials and B westerns. He's very prominent as in Northwest Passage, and I'll have to go back and look for him in THG.
