Story behind Poker References in Wild Wild West?

I suspect there is an interesting story as to why "Wild Wild West" has lines like "I Raise" and "Your Deal" added to it. Was it supposed to be at a card game and not in a blacksmith shop?

If someone knows and can post it here, I would like to know.

Probably because poker has always been associated with the old West. If you notice, the lyric has a lot of references to various "western" clichés.
