Great book by Mark Harris, just out in paperback. Five Came Back: A Story of Hollywood and the Second World War. About Ford, Huston, Wyler, Stevens, and Capra. a terrific read, quite a bit of insight into Ford, the man and his career, and the making of They Were Expendable.

Agreed - a very good book and its perspectives on 1940's film-making by 5 giants of Hollywood. Even better in hard-cover!
