I wonder what happened to the beautiful portrait of Ms. Bennett? I suppose it was given to her as a present from the studio.
Does anybody know for sure and maybe can tell me what happened to the painting after Ms. Bennett's death?

It is too bad that these older movies don't have back stories, like what you get on more recent movies that go onto DVD.
The famed portrait hung in Joan Bennett's home until she died. I don't know what happened to it after her death but I am sure it was inheireted by one of her daughters.
