Question

I understand that Job had to be blind at the end, but as an American citizen, would he have been put in a concentration camp? Wouldn't he have told them he was an American? Also, someone with his intelligence, wouldn't he have seen the handwriting on the wall when Hitler came to power and gotten out of the country?

reply

I think that since he was Jewish, that fact trumped his American citizenship. And I always wondered too, why when Young Fannie got scared and left Germany, he didnt! He was really all Young Fannie had.

reply

Thank you! Perhaps returning to the US would have been too painful for him.
