Drinking and Smoking within context
There are quite a few posts about the use of alcohol and cigarettes during that era which is understandable as laws and health concerns have changes so drastically, our cultural norms have also shifted.
Within context, though, I imagine that future generations watching our current movies and tv shows will take note of how often people take prescription drugs. Maybe by that time, everything will be in the form of some kind of once-a-month pill or a patch.
