That dance scene! And that blue top!


Never saw anything like that with MM shaking it all over and then pointing out the people who will die...or whatever she was doing.

And that tight blue top with little or nothing underneath - the possible high points of the film.

MM looks amazing in the skintight, sparkly dress, shaking her hips to encite that cobra. Very suggestive!

The number one reason among many reasons why this is considered a camp classic must be Naja's wild hootchie-kootch snake dance. It was enough to make me forget for the moment that she seemed to be condemning half the island's population to the "Fire God". Despite the rampant silliness, however, you can't say this movie was boring for even a minute! Maria Montez in dual roles, Sabu, Lon Chaney, Jr. as a mute, the wonderful Babel-style blend of accents and skin tones on this isolated island...bliss!
