Hate the way religion is portrayed in old movies
Of course the priest is going right to heaven. No way a priest can be a bad person right? We know a bit more nowadays.

Unfortunately the priests who make the news are the ones we should never hear about, unless it is to learn for how long they are going to be incarcerated. But priests should not be judged by the rotten apples in their midst, any more than Christians or Muslims should be vilified because there are crazy violent people who use religion as an excuse to commit heinous acts. As far as the film goes, the Reverend William Duke is heaven bound because he was a truly good man, not because he was a reverend. There have been plenty of villainous clergy (characters) in film over the years. Just not in this one.
