Can't believe I missed the ending! MAJOR SPOILERS REQUESTED!

My apologies for such a basic question, but I had a meeting to get to today and so I missed everything after Humphrey Bogart's character gives that amazing speech to the men about why he thought they should stay and fight. What inspiring script writing... I am not a big fan of war movies, but this one kept me absolutely glued to the screen.
ANYWAY, would someone mind giving a brief, yet brilliant (haha), synopsis of the final battle scene(s)? Thanks so very much!

I could, but it would be a retelling filtered through my perceptions. You should really get a copy of this great movie and watch all the way through. You will be glad you did!

well, that's a great idea, but I was kinda hoping to find out while the rest of the film was fresh in my mind. thanks for the suggestion anyway!

It's hard to say whether it's a happy ending or not, it all depends upon how you look at it. Definitely rent it and watch it all the way through, well worth it.
