Yeah, pretty wooden performance from a really prolific minor role supporting actor. He appeared in over 200 movies and TV productions stretching from 1916 silent movie days all the way to 1965.

His face was probably better known than his name and I'm sure he never got rich but looks like he made a good living

Bruce Bennett player with the Stooges too. Also Lloyd Bridges, for a few seconds.
