Does anyone where, besides Wikipedia, I could get some info about the controversy this movie caused? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

The book "Dame in the Kimono" by L. Leff and J. Simmons has almost a whole chapter on it. Good read.

Well, even though yours is now from 2013, I want to thank you for the tip. That book does sound like a good read, and I have ordered a copy. 
