Deren, Hammid, both of them, someone else entirely? IMDb doesn't give editing credits for most of her films, but she is credited on 'The Very Eye of Night'. The editing is about half the film in my opinion, for 'At Land' and 'Ritual in Transfigured Time' as well. Pure genius whoever it was.

I think they edited it together, Hammid doing the physical task of film editing, while Deren instructing him on how she envisioned it. Deren was happy to get along with Hammid because he knew about film techniques, how to shoot with a camera, how to edit a film, angles and shots, etc. etc. Deren envisioned the themes, plots, etc. of the film while Hammid did the technical stuff. It was a good pairing.
