I am an English Production Designer and until a few years ago had never heard of the movie.
Then I discovered I live in the very house where it was shot. Wow! Sadly, most of the palm trees
featured in the driveway have long gone. Anybody interested in hearing more?
Wow! I had to watch this movie during my second year of film studies during an avant-garde season, and i must admit that Deren's work was much more intriquing than Kenneth Anger. The location its self was quite unusual. It must be very strange living in that house with the unsettling mise-en-scene still in your head.

shareI believe the location is N. Kings Rd, just a little ways up from Sunset Blvd. The driveway shown in the movie is gated and private, shared by a couple homes.
I wish eatwellrouth replied here with more info, but unless I'm mistaken about his identity, he passed away in 2007.
