What's up with the Penguin?
When Kit and Toni return after their night on the town, there's a scene with them in a doorway saying goodnight. As Toni gives Kit a hug, her left arm swings across the screen and we can clearly see she's holding a stuffed Penguin.
What's up with that? This is a movie of night clubs and high society, not the county fair. Would the penguin mean something to audiences of the 40s? Was this scene added later or a longer part editted out? It'd be interesting to know.
