remind you of The Bourne Identity?

I caught The Saboteur last Friday and couldn't stop watching it - I had no idea it was Hitchcock. I thought it was excellent (even if it did have some inexplicable plot moments, as some posters have mentioned).

A poster here mentioned that he thought it should be remade. I think it could be - but it already reminded me of The Bourne Identity (the film).

Charles Tobin was so creepy.

Any significance that Robert Cummings' character was called 'Kane'?

Could you really saw handcuff chains off a car engine??? :-)

If I'm ever kidnapped by hodlums, I'll remember to make sure they get me a cream soda and and pay for it too.

Why in the world do you want to know?????

And this really didn't remind me too much of the Bourne Identity. Kane knows exactly who he is...the only thing that bore a slight resemblance was that he keeps traveling place to place, trying to elude capture... but even then, that's a theme of so many movies.

As far as a remake, I don't consider it likely. The current political atmosphere would label sabotage "terrorism," and use it as an excuse to invade a country that had nothing to DO with the actual sabotage.

I do agree it's a great movie, but I think it should be treated as we SHOULD treat most of our great movies...let it stand on its own, without being exploited for sequels or remakes.

Just for fun.

I don't want it remade. I just said I thought it could be. I'm not fond of remakes of the classics.
