I came here today to ask the same question (actually was this the movie with the shotout scene that covers up real bullets being fired, and an audience member gets killed?) I guess it's because of the Dark Knight Rises killings in Aurora, Colorado.

I'm from Colorado, though not near Aurora, and when I first heard about the tragedy, a few people interviewed originally thought briefly that the real gunshots were part of the movie.

Real can be as strange (not to mention tragic) as fiction.
