'Get hold of a fellow called Fry' - Harp McGuire?
I've always been curious about the owner of that distinguished disembodied voice, and this evening I thought I recognized it in an episode of Leave it to Beaver, "The Credit Card" (season six, episode 20), as belonging to a service station attendant played by Harp McGuire. McGuire's earliest IMDb credit is 1953, but I wonder if he was doing bits and / or voice work as early as 1942.
Would anyone here know?
