Why did Hitchcock name the man Kane?

Did he think of the movie Citizen Kane when naming him this way? I wonder.

Barry Kane was originally Barry Ford. John Houseman who worked with Orson Welles in Citizen Kane (1941) suggested the name "Kane" to Hitchcock as the last name for Barry.
