I like this film. I have a question,though. When the 2 guys are in back of the car & one of them says he used to have long blond hair as a child & the other says maybe his son should have short hair these days. What is that all about???

I thought it was odd, too. When I stopped to think about it, the first thing that came to me was an unspoken commentary about the fascist who said it. That comment would be something like "..and look how you turned out. Maybe if you weren't allowed to deviate from social norms, you wouldn't have grown up to be a fascist."
Who knows if that's what the 'message' was here, but that's how I took it.
