This is really two movies
The part of the story with Ann Sothern as a sassy showgirl trying deal with boyfriend Dan Dailey, his daughter, and rival Marsha Hunt, is pretty entertaining. I love Marsha as a bad girl, she played them well. And I loved Ann's interactions with the daughter who is trying to teach her good taste.
But then it's like the movie wasn't long enough so they had to add in these pointless bits with Red Skelton and his sailor buddies. They aren't funny or interesting (that long scene in the haunted house I finally had to fast forward through).
