Bela Lugosi makes a great butler

He nailed that role. I don?t know why since it's a low-key kind of character type compared to the outlandish roles Lugosi played during his career, but it's a snug fit for him.

this board has got pretty few posts on it for a bela lugosi horror flick, one reason could perhaps be that, because bela lugosi appears as just one of the regular members of the house, to be honest i would have liked to see him in a bit of a more exciting role, the title and cover (shown here as well) is quite misleading, this was almost more of a mystery... spoiler follows... up to the very last minute, and that last scene is what's being used as a cover/poster, title etc. the line "he's on the way and no way to reach him" couldn't be made today when most everyone carries a phone i figured. the people in the burning room suddenly hit by a puff of smoke cloud looked unintentionally funny. the picture and sound quality was very good on the dvd i got of this, i was so surprised it was from 1942, renewed 1969 by universal pictures, dvd is from final cut entertainment, pal region 2, 2018 release.

breakfast across juice its sunrise,
because of you luxury caviar,
till luscious lunch,
with charms warming up coffee cup,
my flat table cant measure with your mind,
as well where boobies bounce,
but blessing for a fella wish you stay till suppertime.

A bit of a come down for Bela Lugosi to play a butler. He is usually a professor or aristocracy. My favorite Bela Lugosi butler is Murkil in 'One Body Too Many.' He is much more comically sinister in that one.
