"there's a saying that "William Wyler never made a bad movie". Well I agree
(although I have yet to see the O'Toole/Hepburn comedy
) The Heiress, Best Years of our lives, Ben Hur, the Childrens' hour, the Big Country are all among my all time favourites. If anyone knows of a bad Wyler movie, point it out please! (maybe Friendly Persuasion
)"
I can't think of one neither. Some are obviously less enjoyable than the great masterpieces he's made, but even his smaller films like The Collector, Liberation of LB Jones, The Westerner and Carrie all had something special - that "Wyler touch", as they say.
