He would regularly commute to Hollywood, do his job and hurry back to the ranch.
He also seems to have been one of the few co-workers who caught Colin Clive at a loss for words:
After the wrap party for JOURNEY'S END, Clive invited Bevan to look him up when he (Bevan) returned to London. Billy Bevan had never BEEN to London in his life!
I worked at the Escondido Public Library for 22 years. It was almost thirty 30 years after Mr. Bevan's death that I started there, but the Library was around, and I like to think he had a library card at the place I loved so well.
