Noticed that you're a fan of TKaM. It's my favorite and one of less than ten films that I rate a ' 10 '. Probably have seen it at least twenty five times. As far as In Cold Blood goes, I've probably seen it at least a dozen times and I'm in awe of it each time I view it. Thankfully, those involved had the good sense to film it in black and white.

Glad you made it home in one piece. After a most unpleasant experience I had with the fog back in Connecticut some years back, I promised myself that in the future I'd take a motel/hotel room. What part of the country are you in?
Of course. More than an essential. A very influential film from childhood that more than holds up today.
I'm in Virginia. Thought about the hotel thing, but also remembered that the exits are very poorly marked and the streets/roads thereafter do not have the road light demarcations done as well. Plus, i was just having the Dorothy Gale thing that all I wanted to do was get home.

This movie was a pleasant surprise. I set my DVR to record what I thought was a typical 1940s Warner Bros. gangster flick with Eddie G. and then there was a joke here, and a gag there, and I eventually realized it was a comedy... and a pretty good one!
