Did you realize that Jackie Gleason was the "soda jerk"? I'm sitting here watching this on TCM and would never have guessed that the guy at the counter was Jackie Gleason! I want to see that part again. His part in the movie was funny! I've always liked him. He was a funny guy!

He was so young-looking that I did not even recognize him! Nice to see him in an early role, though.

I knew he looked familiar ... at first I thought he looked like a younger Lou Costello.

The thing that gave it away for me was the slightly bulging eyes, a characteristic Gleason could exaggerate to hilarious effect in "The Honeymooners" when the situation called for it. It was definitely great to see him so young in this 1942 film. I hadn't realized he was already making movies at that time.

Well done . I didn't recognize him. To me he looked like a grown-up version of Spanky from The Little Rascals/Our Gang. lol

That's strange. I thought he looked exactly like a younger version of himself; same look, mannerisms, facial expressions, everything and I haven't even seen that many Jackie Gleason projects. He just has a distinctive look, IMO.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

I loved his piece of mistletoe attached to his hat! Definition of a fresh soda jerk! Hilarious
