did you know that when they asked alvin york for the movie rights for his life to warner bros. he had three conditions.
I. That the film contains no phony heroics
II. that Mrs.York not be played by a Hollywood "glamour girl"
III. That Gary Cooper portray York on screen
and of course all three conditions were met.
