..when the German prisoners ducked the German machine gunners shot the standing Americans.

Jeez, don't you think if you saw your friends being mowed down that you would duck at some point?

Don't give me that crap that it happened so fast. It didn't. They just stood there and got shot. I'm sure this is pure Hollywood.

One more thing. Didn't the German Officer look a bit fat for being in the trenches?

Yea, yea, I know they were fed better right. Wrong! Towards the end of the war they were starving and looking for food as much as the regular troops were.

But before you try and bust my chops about this the next time you see the film just take a look at this guy! His weight goes beyond just "eating better" then the regular troops.

I hear what u r saying
both the
officer
& the so so staged POWs

but what bothered me was it seemed purty easy to get around the end & sneak up from behind

in like no time

& like another thing
u got 3 or 4 sets of belt fed water cooled fully automatic guns
yer gonna have that field mopped up purty quick
Yorky gets around & start taking POWs & then sneaks up on one of the nests
& there's still mens running around on that field
they wood all b dead dead dead
can tell me concentrated fire power like that wood leave a man standing in like 3 min let alone a half hour
