Timing (1941 !)

This movie premiered in July 1941, for release Sept 27th. Two and a half months later we were in World War II, which was already a third of its way along. I wonder what effect this movie had on would-be volunteers or eventual draftees?

Reportedly, military enlistments skyrocketed after the release of the movie, with some men going directly from the theater to enlist

Good movie, but it was a shameless piece of pro-war propaganda.

Originality needs a reboot.
