Very relevant today

The John Doe movement was like the Tea Party, except it's Richard D.B. Horton who lead and funded it. Not to mention, the stooges didn't have to be hired, since they were already there with Joe Miller, John Boehner, Sarah Palin, Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell, etc. And, the funding for pushing corporate interests was already there too. What the John Doe movement did have that the Tea Party didn't was using scare tactics and fear to get somewhere politically.

You could say the same about John Doe as Obama. Or bush. Or Reagan. Or plenty of others in the past and future. I agree mostly with your subject, it's still relevant today. But it's not because of now it's because history is repeating itself.
