If you liked 'HGWMV', *DO* watch 'Hedd Wyn!'
...if you can find it.
Considering HGWMV was done by Hollywood of the 40's, it wasn't a bad representation of life and culture in Wales. Not at all.
However, "Hedd Wynn" was filmed on location, and entirely in (subtitled) Welsh (!)
Nominated for the Best Foreign Film Oscar the year it came out, it tells the tragic life story of Ellis Evans, and how he became the national poet of Wales. The beauty and power of this film will take your breath away.
(I just did a longer summary---admittedly, with a few spoilers---on the message board at: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104403.)
