Looking for a CD/DVD of "How green was my valley"

Hi fellow film buffs!

I am looking for a CD/DVD of "How green was my valley". Pl let me know if any of you have seen this movies in "these formats". I am from Singapore and have searched for sometime to get this movie. Would appreciate it a lot, if you can guide me to someone who has this.

Thanks

Roy

I've read, unfortunately, that "How Green Was My Valley" is only viewable on DVD in Region 1, being the US and Canada. Amazon.com goes forward to say that it will probably not be released in other formats. The only two other ideas I can supply are: either try to download the movie(if you're into getting films that way), or to buy the region 1 DVD and watch it on a computer. Regions were created to eliminate piracy between the continents, so each continent(s) have different regions in which certain DVDs may play. But since computers are not DVD players (as a primary function), they're able to play any DVD from any region. That's all I can think of now.

Good luck!

You can easily buy a multi-region or region-free DVD player and import the Region 1 DVD.

Although its takes a bit of effort, copying a DVD with a burning program which strips away censorship "features" is one way or, as said, just get a player which has a region "0" feature. Those cheapo Chinese players (of the Wallyworldmart type) can do this although they don't hold up for long. Some Panasonics can also be reprogrammed from the remote.
