The review is a bit confusing.
I guess the film was pretty good in portraying the incidents reported in the book.
The point is-----"Should we watch first and read later-----or read first and watch ?" Both have their merits.

It's always been my cliche to say: "if you do one, don't do the other." If you see the film first, the book will seem tiresomly long. If you read the book first, you'll be unsatisfied with all the movie left out.
