There was a B movie in 1942 called "Quiet Please, Murder." In the Art Room scene there is a scale model of a town that is a dead ringer for the HGIMV town. It must have been a scale model made to help build the set.

Never throw anything away. You can always use it again. This is especially true of period costumes.
